Meet the Visionaries Behind Onicx

Dhvanit Patel is the Chief Executive Officer of Onicx, a vertically integrated real estate investment, development, and construction company specializing in healthcare, multifamily, industrial, and mixed-use commercial real estate. Since founding the company in 2004, Dhvanit has led its growth from a construction firm into a full-service platform spanning development, investment, construction, leasing, and property management.
With more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate development and construction, Dhvanit is responsible for shaping the company’s long-term vision, identifying investment opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and driving operational excellence across every facet of the business. His leadership has established Onicx as a trusted partner known for delivering innovative, high-quality projects while creating lasting value for investors, clients, healthcare providers, and the communities it serves.
Under Dhvanit’s leadership, Onicx Construction has become a respected general contractor throughout Florida, delivering complex healthcare, commercial, industrial, hospitality, and luxury residential projects with a commitment to precision, collaboration, and excellence. Together with Onicx Real Estate, the organization offers clients a seamless approach that spans acquisition, development, construction, asset management, and long-term ownership.
Dhvanit earned a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from the University of Florida’s M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management. He currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the University of Florida’s College of Design, Construction and Planning and is an active member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), Florida Chapter.

Jon Sajeski is the President of Onicx Healthcare Real Estate (“OHRE”), where he leads the firm’s overall vision and growth. He is responsible for guiding strategy and execution across development, acquisitions, asset management, and property management.

With over 20 years of experience in healthcare real estate, Jon has been involved in more than $3 billion of transactions and has managed a portfolio exceeding $2.3 billion in assets. Prior to joining OHRE, he served as Chief Investment Officer and a member of the Management Committee at Sila Realty Trust, Inc., where he managed the company’s healthcare platform and expanded its national footprint. He also held senior leadership roles at Carter Validus Advisors and its affiliates, including Chief Investment Officer, Chief Acquisition Officer, and Senior Vice President of Healthcare Investment Management.

Jon began his career at Rendina Healthcare Real Estate in 2004, where he spent 12 years advancing through leadership positions in acquisitions, leasing, business development, and property management. His background provides a comprehensive foundation in building and managing healthcare-focused real estate platforms.

Jon earned a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate and Finance from Florida State University.

Ali Wald is responsible for operational strategy and execution at Onicx Construction. Ali Wald has 30 years of operations, management, and accounting experience across various industries, most notably, 18 years in the development and construction industries. Ali’s experience also extends to the overseeing of risk management, human resources, and marketing. She was instrumental in building the development side of the business from inception. Prior to joining Onicx in 2009, Ali served as Director of Operations in both development and general contracting fields.  In those roles she was responsible for process, oversight of all operations, the financial accounting and job costing systems, as well as company and job profitability. Ali is a Florida native who earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida.

As Executive Vice President of Finance, Jackie McIntosh leads all debt and equity strategies across asset classes, guiding capital markets activity with precision and insight. Her hands-on leadership and deep understanding of institutional finance and client needs allow her to navigate complex transactions with clarity and confidence. Jackie brings over 30 years of banking experience, having built her career from the ground up. She has operated banks with more than $1 billion in assets and developed expertise in underwriting, loan origination, relationship and portfolio management, retail banking, operations, loan documentation, and treasury.  She also played a key role in launching de novo banks, giving her a unique perspective on building institutions from inception. Having worked at every level of banking—from the front lines to executive oversight —Jackie offers a rare blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and a client-first approach. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of South Florida and completed renowned formal leadership programs including GILD, Leaders in Action, and Stand & Deliver.

Connor T. Lewis serves as the Executive Vice President of the Onicx Group. In this role, Connor leads the healthcare development team in their efforts to develop and build medical properties across the United States.

Prior to joining Onicx Group, Connor held the position of National Vice President of Healthcare Development for Ryan Companies US, Inc.  Over the past decade, he has emerged as one of the most accomplished developers of surgery centers and healthcare properties, making substantial contributions to projects that extend across both coasts and encompass 18 states.  Connor played a key role in the development and sale of the Ryan Healthcare Fund 1, where he oversaw the development of $50 million in healthcare properties. Ryan Companies successfully raised $46 million in equity, and upon the sale of the fund the asset value reached an impressive $125 million. Earlier in his career, Connor held leadership roles at renowned institutions such as the Mayo Clinic, Health Enterprises, and Pacific Ridge Medical.

Connor received a Bachelor of Communication with a minor in Business Management from the University of Iowa.  Additionally, he has a distinguished record of service, having dedicated nine years to the board of the American Heart Association.

Beyond his professional and philanthropic endeavors, Connor is the Founder of the Society of Golf Historians and serves as the host of the TalkinGolf History podcast.  These ventures showcase his passion for golf and commitment to preserving its rich historical legacy.

Ilya Hvostikov serves as Vice President of Acquisitions with Onicx Group. In this role, Ilya leads Onicx Group’s healthcare investment platform by overseeing the structuring, underwriting, diligence, and execution of all healthcare real estate acquisitions. With over 12 years’ experience in real estate finance, Ilya has successfully overseen or been involved with approximately $2 billion of real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and developments.

Prior to joining Onicx, Ilya was a Vice President of Investments for Anchor Health Properties where he oversaw the entire investment lifecycle of healthcare real estate investments throughout the United States. Prior to Anchor, Ilya served as an Analyst at Gramercy Property Trust, and worked at PNC Bank where he had exposure to various areas within the asset management and corporate banking divisions.

Ilya earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and International Business from the Fox School of Business at Temple University.

As the Director of Property Management, Angela oversees the financial and operational aspects of multiple Onicx owned properties, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies. Her responsibilities include reviewing financial reports, vacancy reports, and lease agreements, as well as negotiating contracts to protect the company’s interests. This role involves developing and implementing innovative practices, maintaining client relations, and coordinating property operations and maintenance. Additionally, Angela is responsible for risk management, responding to emergencies, and resolving escalated tenant complaints.

Prior to joining Onicx, Angela held various Property Management positions at several top firms where she was responsible for ensuring efficient operations and maintenance in the oversight of large commercial properties.

In addition to her extensive property management experience, she also worked in roles that required office management, handling accounts payable and receivable, fostering positive relationships with tenants and vendors, execution of office administration, personnel management, and bookkeeping procedures, including payroll and accounts management.

Angela furthered her qualifications by obtaining her Real Estate License, a Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation.  Additionally, she remains an active member in the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).

Gabe Lamontagne serves as the Asset Manager for Onicx Group, overseeing a diverse portfolio of commercial healthcare and other properties in Florida and the U.S. He’s responsible for optimizing asset performance, maintaining high operational standards, and maximizing returns.

Gabe develops annual strategic asset management plans and budgets, closely monitoring their execution and providing regular reports to the COO. He collaborates with property managers to implement leasing strategies and oversee capital programs, ensuring alignment with market trends and organizational goals.

With a focus on transparency, Gabe prepares monthly operating reports for executive management and manages investor communications through the company’s portal. He also plays a key role in acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing, evaluating opportunities and facilitating transactions.

Prior to joining Onicx, Gabe worked as an Analyst for Citigroup within the Equity & Fixed income Prime Brokerage division. Gabe was responsible for managing the day-to-day interactions for a handful of the firm’s hedge fund clients, facilitating smooth trade execution, and overseeing various operational aspects of the prime brokerage relationship.

Gabe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Florida Gulf Coast University.

Juan Fuentes serves as the Facilities Director at Onicx Group. With a steadfast commitment to inspiring teams, creating safe and efficient environments, and driving operational excellence, Juan brings over 15 years of unparalleled expertise in facilities management, operations, and construction oversight. His extensive knowledge encompasses compliance, energy management, and vendor relations.

Before joining Onicx, Juan held several prominent facility management roles within the commercial real estate sectors of healthcare, biopharma, and higher education, showcasing his versatile leadership capabilities.

Additionally, Juan is a certified Facility Management Professional (FMP) and is a proud veteran of the United States Navy.

Regina is the Development Accounting Manager for OHRE. In this capacity, she oversees accounting and financial operations for 13 commercial construction entities. Her duties include preparing financial reports, general ledger reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable management, and bank reconciliations. Regina also plays a key role in maintaining investor relations by distributing monthly reporting and collaborating with CPAs to prepare for year-end financial processes.

Prior to Onicx Group, Regina was a Senior Staff Accountant for CSC Properties, where she managed new job setups, managed monthly loan draws, and reconciled monthly construction loan statements for 25 development projects.

Regina served as Assistant Controller for Hunt Real Estate Services. In this role, she managed a wide range of financial tasks, including reconciling bank statements for over 50 development companies, processing monthly construction draws, and overseeing accounts payable/receivable processes. Her responsibilities also included preparing and filing monthly sales tax, maintaining spreadsheets for Notice to Owner (NTO), and supporting legal matters related to land and sale closings.

Regina’s proficiency extends to various financial software, including Timberline, Sage 100, and QuickBooks Pro & Online. Additionally, Regina is a Florida Notary.

Jose A. Borrego serves as Development Manager for OHRE. Jose brings more than 30 years of experience in design, construction, and development management across commercial, retail, housing, and public-sector projects. Throughout his career, Jose has contributed to the development of over 12 million square feet of shopping centers, retail, and public buildings, more than 200 retail and restaurant locations, and over 1,000 HUD housing units.

Jose has held senior leadership roles with respected organizations including Regency Centers, Volunteers of America of Florida, Sun Construction Group, and The Sembler Company. His work spans every phase of the project lifecycle, from entitlement and pre-development planning through construction delivery and transition to property management. He is highly experienced in coordinating with local, state, and federal agencies, managing complex project budgets and proformas, and leading multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, contractors, and consultants.

Most recently, Jose served as Owner and Principal of B&W Design Group, where he acted as a developer’s representative and provided design consulting and construction management services for a wide range of development and redevelopment projects.

Jose’s portfolio includes major retail and mixed-use destinations such as Clearwater Mall, Oakleaf Town Center, Pointe Orlando, and Aventura Mall, along with extensive experience in HUD, VA, and affordable housing programs supporting veterans, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.
